@Ceryn, @andrewsmart48 You’ll notice some cultists entering your territory. Their purpose is not to disrupt or convert your cities (slim chance of that!); merely to die and supply me with relics. If you object, just say so and I will pull them back.

Oh, they are completely different things. Martyr relics are holy and divine. Cultist relics are eldritch and diabolical. They’re practically opposite.

@Sledge_Poteet Chinese pop culture is not welcome in the netherlands! We have our own sets of traditions and are very proud of them. Any rock band found still in our borders will be expelled most forcefully next turn!

Ah. Yeti, you’ve been pretty busy over thee conquering a whole continent. I squashed India and have been wondering and turtling since. But Ceryn has claimed all of Europe and is racing ahead to either a space race or pivoting to military to come for me or Andrew down there in Africa. Now sure which way he will go. I don’t want war (never do) but if that how it goes, then that’s how it goes.

@andrewsmart48 I didn’t mind the fleet in the mediterranean as long as we were allies or friends. I did send you an offer to renew our friendship last turn, and you did not accept it. That fleet is looking mighty hostile right about now, so if you value peace, either accept the friendship or retreat your fleet, at least to the red sea.

@andrewsmart48 You were warned. I suggested several ways to fix this situation amicably, and my minimum requirements were not met. I can see no reason for you to entertain such a high concentration of units on my borders and refusing to accept a friendship, apart from a malicious will to attack. As such, the Netherlands decided to strike first. Almost half your armadas now lie at the bottom of the sea. Retreat your fleet and I will not escalate this further.
@Sledge_Poteet Note that the Netherlands has no desire to war with China. Your alliance with Ethiopia dragged you into this, but as long as you don’t attack, we will not either, and your traders will be safe. I even retreated my units in the northern front a little bit.

My loyalty seems to have stabalised but i wanted another turn to see if that was just because of the change in era.
Oh well lets see what happens now i suppose.
Still does not explain your refusal to accept a frienship 
Every passing turn with that fleet at my doors was a risk. I tried diplomacy first! As I said, I will refrain from further escalation if the fleet does retreat.
If not, then good luck, and I hope for you that China joins your efforts.
