@shinjoshun good catch! Yaboo, you drew the Indian subcontinent list ā could you pick from Gandhi, Tomyris or Chandragupta? If youāre heart is really set on Australia, we can discuss whether itās OK with everyone for you to switch with Peteyboy (who drew the Pacific Islands list), assuming itās OK with him.

Alright folks, imo this has now officially gotten out of hand. Everyone can pick from their list selected by the draft we all agreed to, Iām not going to allow any exceptions now. Itās not fair to the other players who are selecting from their lists for some players to trade their lists. If you didnāt want the lottery, you had ample opportunity to argue against it earlier in the discussion. This is the way drafts work. If thereās a consensus that we should disregard the draft, then letās voice it and agree to a different way forward for everyone.

Past week I was away. I come back and draft is madeā¦ Why not. But Iām South America AGAIN. Not coolā¦ But I see that there is trades. Thatās cool. But no?.. My last 2 real world map games were north America and South America.
No trade? Iāll just leave. Sorry. Itās just a game and Civ 7 will come. Forced draft is hard at this moment. Trade wasnāt that bad.

You quoted it yourself. @shinjoshun promised he would get you a chance to play scythia, and you had a chance to draw the Indian subcontinent in the draft. Even if he had guaranteed you to be able to pick scythia, that wasnāt a guarantee he was able to give, as he isnāt the host.
I had in fact already given him a stronger assurance in public that the game would likely use a lottery for civ choice, and in fact that was the consensus of a majority of players, as I expected (from experience). In the absence of a new consensus, the lottery system that was already worked out is what this game will use.
Youāre welcome to leave the game ā if your only reason in joining was to play scythia, this is definitely not the right game for you. Itās not about whether the trade was bad, or whether I understand your position or not. As host, I have absolute authority to run the game as I see fit, and you and the rest here know that I prefer to set up games based on player consensus. You have absolute authority to participate or not participate as you like, and to start your own game with civs chosen as you wish ā and Iād happily play in that game as well 
And yes, I did kill the trades because the trades were already spreading, and there was no consensus that we would do a draft and then trade. If that was the consensus, I would not have gone to the trouble of designing the draft system and conducting the draft, because the consensus would have been for player choice (which is what the trades essentially are). But Iād already offered assurances, initially to @shinjoshun and later as a result of the consensus to all players here, that civs would be chosen through a combination of draft and player choice.
Your choice to be melodramatic has absolutely made this game already less fun, and my only purpose in setting it up is to have fun. So please either choose from your drafted list, or leave the game. If a majority of players agree to rerun the draft to get a different result, Iām open to doing that once, but I would strongly prefer that players choose their civilizations from their drafted lists.
