I guess if you want to canvass for a substitute for me I will reluctantly accept this. I don’t want to ruin the game for everyone.

I don’t know if anyone would want to take over from you. i suggest we set turn timer to two days or even take it off. both is fine with me.

What does everyone else think? Currently reset to 2 days pending a general decision.
I guess I don’t think 15-20 minutes roughly once per week is a big ask.

Fine by me

:+1:

well it’s not about my willingness to commit the time to take the turn, it’s about whether or not I’m actually at home and able to do it during the time window

I do sympathise.
My entire career, apart from an initial 15 months lost in the wilderness of life assurance administration, was in software development and doing unreasonable to insane amounts of overtime for a succession of corporations. My final stint at Oracle was no different, except I secured the then impossible position of official homeworker for the final 10 years, based on their greed in acquiring new companies, and hence running out of office space for the hordes of sad immigrants.
(We assumed the rapid acquisition of other companies was to solve the issue arising out of the dawning collective impression that the only way to get a pay rise out of Oracle was to leave for another company - then perhaps return later if you still had the appetite)
When at home - although the daily commute from bedroom to study was insufferably tedious - I could at least spread the few 10 minute breaks per game throughout the 14 or so hours of work and it came as some kind of diversion.
You have reminded me of life before homeworking. I commiserate and sympathise.

Happy to extend to 2 days, happier to remove it entirely.
