Hi, I am ok with all positions and leaders :). So I can be wild card :).
Yes, I agree @banman39.
Alright, so far I count 3 votes in favor of giving @Michaqel the South America list (Michaqel, Pete & myself). If we get 3 more I’ll go ahead.
fourth agree from my side
Sure.
Agree
Also fine by me
looks like a majority is on board, could you pick one of these civs to play?
I’m fine with Pedro II, but if he’s not free, then anyone else.
Pedro II you will be, as you are the only one allowed to pick from those civs (according to the rules above) ![]()
OK all, here’s the civ list in one place – let me know if I have yours wrong:
banman39: Mansu Musa(Mali)
donlooky: Cleopatra-Egyptian(Egypt)
J-Dog: Peter(Russia)
shinjoshun: Poundmaker(Cree)
BambusBjoern: Hammurabi(Babylon)
ArctossX: Pericles(Greece)
matmer: Lady Six Sky(Maya)
Randomouse: Kublai Khan(Mongolia)
Peteyboy: John Curtin(Australia)
Michaqel: Pedro II(Brazil)
Yaboo: Gandhi(India)
Later today I’ll check for CSs that spawn uncomfortably close to each civ’s starting position, so I can bar them from the game setup. If you get to it before I do, feel free to request certain CSs be barred from near your starting position.
OK, I’ve identified 13 city-states that, if spawned, would directly compete with at least one of our spawning positions. I used the criteria that the city state’s settler and/or warriors are visible from the spawning position on turn 1, or (if terrain interferes with visibility) they spawn close enough that their city would be the minimum distance from the player’s spawning location. This would result in some of the city-state 1st ring tiles being in the third ring of the player’s initial city. They are:
Chinguetti & Kumasi for the Mali
Valletta, Vatican City and Preslav for Greece
Akkad, Yerevan and Hattusa for Babylon
Jerusalem for Egypt
Mitla & La Venta for the Maya
Lahore & Mohenjo-Daro for India
I propose deactivating all 13 in the game setup, and using the default (recommended) city-state number for a huge map. Thoughts? Objections? If I see 5 up-votes, I’ll set up the game.
ok for me
Fine with me.
Sounds good to me too
Let’s do it
Up vote
Good for me

Awesome, thanks all! Finally, glad to see we’re off and running – first turn submitted. Good fortune to all! Keep an eye on your neighbors!
