Terribly sorry, I just realized I donāt have the expansion packs for this game. Looking for a substitution.
I know someone who might join. Iāll message him now and let us know what you require him to doā¦
I placed a request for a replacement, so he can just jump right in. Itās how I joined a different game (Civ6, I have all the expansions for that one). If your friend joins now, then they wonāt miss a turn at all.
Great, where does one go to see the replacement list? can you send me a link for him?
I think the player leaving requests substiution and then you friend goes into open games asking for subs.

Hey, thanks for waiting around, but not sure what the process is to take the substitution. When I click on Karhaldās profile I see no āJoinā, āSubstituteā, etc; not sure what Iām missing?
In the list of āOpen Gamesā there are three tabs at the top of that area. One of them is Substitutions Requested. Click that one and then you can find this group. Click the āView Game Detailsā button, and scroll down to join game.
Thanks Karhald. I found the game in āsubstitutes requestedā (sic), opened the game details and can see no join game option. I had to go into the game details to post last night and reply to your msg.
If the game is listed as No to āJoin game after starting?ā can it accept substitution?
Sorry for taking so long on my turn. Iām having an issue trying to play. When I get to the point where says configuring game please wait. I wait for a minute or so. Then the screen goes blank and the game shuts down. Anyone have any ideas on what to try?
Hey mate. Try posting this in the PYDT Discord chat and Iām sure you will get an answer. Also check that all your hardware drivers are up to date. It could be worth the last player reverting their turnā¦
You probably canāt see a ājoin gameā option because youāre already in the game. Take a peek at other games looking for a sub and youāll see how that looks. I joined as a sub in another game and it was perfectly smooth, just like joining a fresh game.
It might of been a game setting not ticked. Iāve done that now. Try it again.
Iāve set myself to vacation mode so if my turn comes up, itāll automatically pass to the next person.
Iāll wait a bit before playing my turn then, to see if we get a substitute.

Very strange? Is there something obvious we are missing. It shouldnāt be this hard to swap over. Maybe some screen grabs would help.
No ideaā¦I made sure that anything that would appear to stop a sub was removedā¦so i dunno.
