Yea, I don’t recall anything either, unless they are super secret until you activate them. I am guessing not and DB blew them away someplace.
Turn 50 update: I think I will have to kill off city-states to get my 20 cities. Surrounded by multiple city-states, Dan is on my doorstep, discovered Ozy, Maori, Nubia, and Korea are all close. There is room to expand a little but can maybe get 8-10 cities without killing the city-states. Can kill city-states and get another 5-7 cities. I will have to declare war prior to getting 20 cities.
I think if that happens we should give the other players at least 20 turns notice. It’s not fair to show up on somebody’s doorstep with a bunch of units saying I have to attack you next turn to expand.
Let’s just pick a turn to declare war on all - ready or not. Maybe 100? 125?
Maybe 150? I built my early game to not declare war too early. Gives us a little time to shift priorities.
okay by me
ok
But if you do get your 20 cities prior to turn 150 you must declare war. If you don’t get your 20 cities by 150, you must declare war anyway.
Anyone else seeing that - as the secret societies are discovered - a ‘normal’ governor is being squeezed out of the selection screen. I currently have 3 unselectable societies, and 3 missing governors.
I don’t have that problem. I have 2 secret societies discovered but the rest of the governors are there. I haven’t selected a secret society governor yet.
There is a scroll bar at the bottom to see the other govenors.
Remembering who spawned this game, I guess I should not be surprised - but anyone have any idea how or why Korea managed to acquire 4 great prophets ?
I don’t know - didn’t notice. I am just keeping an eye on the creepy chick to the north. I thought we were limited to one.
It’s one of the items in DB’s Gold called “Soli Deo Gloria” under the religious sections. It states "Great Prophets are just like the other Great People. Instead of getting only one to found your religious, with SDG, you can earn subsequent Great Prophets who each add a belief to your religion.
And Dido is anything but creepy. Sexy maybe, but definitely not creepy.
I’ll be surprised if I last long in this game once we hit turn 150. I’m so far behind in tech and I can’t figure out why. All the AI around me is so far advanced, and so is Dan who is creeping along my border.
The first building I built in all my cities was the monument. Last turn I selected the Voidsingers as my secret society and now all my monuments have disappeared so I can build the Oblesik. So there goes the first 20-30 turns of production for each city gone. Dan, don’t hold back.
I had noticed their abilities were not shown. Not just that then, they take stuff away. Interesting. We could roll back for that I as this does not seem reasonable.
Apart from a sense that this whole game is borked, I am also awaiting my fate hidden behind obnoxiously expansion-inhibiting deserts.
How many turns do we need to revert ?
Feel free to do so, or let me know how many (not sure who can do this)
Revert it 2 turns back to your turn Ozy.
Thanks Ozy, that was the correct turn.
We are on turn 150. Don’t forget to declare war on all major civs this turn.
Communication error. I thought we grow until war. Not just build units till we get to that point. I see a ton of units on and in my borders and yet I thought we were growing until war.
