Iāll play Philip II
Iāll go with Pachacuti
Nader Shah for me please.
Iāll be taking eleanor of aquitane
Iāll take Gilgamesh.
Hammurabi for me.
Sorry for the delay! Am having issues getting perfectworld6 to produce a map for hot seat (makes single-player maps no problem, but not hot seat now). Anyone know how to save a map and use it for a hotseat game (or if thatās possible)? Alternatively, I can sub in a different map script ā GOT Lakes was recommended to me, Iāll have to take a look at it first
I havenāt hosted or played a āPlay Your Damn Turnā game before, so I might be wrong, but it seems to work for me when starting a new hot seat game with PerfectWorld6 enabled in Additional Content. Have you tried this and still encountered issues?
Canāt help with the issue, havenāt tried starting a game with a saved map so donāt know if thatās possible. Got Lakes looks good too so would be happy with that
Thanks for that info! Itās good to know itās a problem specific to my installation and not a general problem with PerfectWorld6. Yeah, thatās exactly what Iām doing(PW6 enabled under Additional Content, then normal hotseat setup). I am occasionally getting the same error on SP startup (but rarely). Am considering trying to make the initial start file as a SP game, and then converting it into a hotseat game (which I know is possible, but Iāll have to learn the details).
Iām still not able to get the game set up unfortunately (even getting the error for SP setups, even after getting the latest civ6 update). Are you able to start a new hotseat game using PerfectWorld6 with a standard map size? If so, maybe you could make the first turn, save it without doing anything and email it to me? Then I can play my first turn and submit it. Iām willing to trust you not to peek too much at my starting position, as long as it gets the game started
Unfortunately, Iāve discovered that I wasnāt generating the map properly either. I was selecting the āContinentā map type, which was slightly altered by the PerfectWorld6 mod, but it wasnāt producing the real PerfectWorld6 map type. However, the good news is that after I switched the start position setting from āBalancedā to āStandard,ā everything started to work perfectly (quite fitting for PerfectWorld, right? ). This simple change should hopefully resolve the issue for you as well, eliminating the need for us to email the save files back and forth. Please try this adjustment and let us know if it works for you
