Sounds like an interesting map. I quite like the idea of random Civ selection but am happy to choose or make a draft. The only setting I’d consider changing would be game speed to Quick but happy with Online if that’s the choice :smiley:

as it turns out (and as has been pointed out to me in the past) ‘online’ is actually faster than ‘quick’ :wink:

For everyone here: do you have a strong preference on civ choice? in the absence of a preference (draft or player choice) I’ll just leave it up to each of you what civ you’re playing. However, if anyone feel strongly that the civ choice should be as fair as possible, we can go through a draft process (i.e., each player picks civs to bar from the game, then each player receives a small random list of civs they can choose from)

So far, I’ve got BambusBjoern & matmer as solid votes for a draft (2), kennya as solid vote for player choice (1), banman39, pete & donlooky as don’t care (3)

Guys, I decided to give up the spot. Better now than after the published draft.

The thing is, I’ve experienced very very few Civ6 games — and was looking for a new game where I could play one of the specific civilizations I want to study next (China or Dutch or Varangian Norway).

Really sorry for the fuss… Good luck in the Perfect World! :)

am in no rush, so I’ll open the door for ban requests now (everyone, post here any civs you would like to have barred from the game for any reason – I won’t apply any limit on the number of banned civs unless we get really carried away :smiley: ) and we’ll start after you’re back.

btw, is everyone good with all the dlc?

To be clear (welcome @Mad_SMAKs, thanks for stepping in for kennya! take a peek on the crowded map game on GMR when you have a chance :wink: ), I have 3 votes for a draft, zero for player choice and 4 votes for either way, so we’re going to do a draft.

Step 1: all players are free to make ban requests, I’ll prevent those civs from being available for the draft.
Step 2: I’ll randomly generate a list of 3 civs for each player to choose from
Step 3: each player makes their civ selection
Step 4: I’ll order players
Step 5: I’ll start the game
