@Fatusblobus I have set the timer to pause if on vacation. If you come back and turn off vacation, only to have it skip your turn… please let me know and I will revert the turn.
It would be an interesting test case if that does happen.

I did try to do this, but accidentally forgot to submit the status change to turn vacation mode off when I got back. I didn’t realise for several days that I’d made this mistake, which is why you may have noticed me on vacation mode for longer than advertised.

Guys I am leaving this game. The turn timer is too short, it’s impossible for me to always make my turns with my work schedule and it makes it impossible to play this game.
For example, I’ve been trying to settle a city for over 15 turns and every time the AI gets a turn it turns the setter back in the opposite direction. Spend my gold, faith, etc on stuff I didn’t want to buy.

I am done with this game. The experimental rules had gone too far.
I propose the following if we are to stay in this game.

this is a grind right now. gold is on a harsh setting, along with units/no-upgrades, making the game difficult to wage war.
no comment from you is needed, i just wanted to check in with you two if you had something to say.
hmm… I really dislike a lot no upgrades… 1 city is interesting … make really hard a total war… may be a bit more realistic…may be 2 in mid game and 3 in late… overal is a interesting game…

A subsequent game, an islands, always war game is proving to be quite effective with ships being obsolete.
I agree. I like the epic with a good turn rate. The cash and the no upgrades makes it harsh especially with the barbs being so aggressive and hard to build new units.
