Does this setup (Primordial with World Age new) tends to leads map with a lot of islands? I played several game in this setup, and in 2 cases I am the only player on my island. Needs to research sailing to even meet one player.
Haven’t met anyone either in current game either, made me think if it is again that case. And I got 0 era score right now… while some of you already got 11+
I got no idea. I’ve been without graphics card for some months and before that I was on a trip, so I have yet to complete a GS game and this is the first time I try Primordial.
But age of the world should have no impact in the presence or absence of islands; just the amount of volcanoes, mountains and hills.
This is the map of my latest primordial game. I was Khmer. You can see how I started on a whole big island / small continent by myself. (Purple is my color, on the right of the map.)
BTW if you want to play without good graphics card, use the strategic mode. I’ve been playing like that for a while.
In this game I didn’t even have the chance to grab a builder by early war.
I’m now using one that’s decent enough to run the game on medium/high. Waiting for an upgrade.

It’s a pity players cannot be sorted out by time zone once the game has started. Or can they be?

Ahhhh someone beat me to Religious Settlements (must be Zamalekite?) pantheon.
Now I have to think hard on which pantheon to choose.

He/she got a very strong start, 3 cities soon! (And is leading in faith and science!)
This map was exactly what I predicted, I found myself lonely on my own small continent. Cannot get Eureka to Writing until I got ships LoL.
And this shitty continent doesn’t even have a natural wonder (facepalm). Good to have two city state though. (why not 3, why)
