So nearly 3 months have passed since this game started. We are on turn 25.
That is about 9 turns a month.
Assuming the game finishes by turn 250 it will take 25 more months to complete. Summer is coming, I would imagine turns will take even longer.
What are the odds that everyone will still be playing in 2+ years time? Civ 7 should be out by then. 
As I said about 15 turns before: Play the game 10+ years (with holidays and until turn 450 maybe) or restart with turn order. Didnāt make an order, cause it was my very first PYDT-game.
As some didnāt want a re-start, weāve played on.
Itās not the only one very slow game, Iām playing, there are even slower ones.
For me not a problem but iām shure, that weāll still play, when Civ 8 will come soon. 
Sure, it would be nice if it went a bit faster, but Iāll play along with the tempo as it is 
On the other hand: On my sight itās an affrond to the other players, to play a PYDT-game and not look minimum once a day (outside holidays), if itās ones turn. 
Thatās my slowest game: they started on turn 76 (classical era or whatever), I subbed in for Adi (and still donāt know, if I like the way, he started, cause had only a few turns yet):

Donāt know exactly. But I think itās related to a longer story that goes back more than 2 months.
Donāt know if itās worth to tell that story again.
O.k., only because Chiller is otherwise a fast player, Iāll wait one more day, before looking for a sub.
Whatās your opinion what to do with Chiller, after we waited another day:
- Shall we look for a sub (will not be easy for this game I think)
- Or shall I just kick him an AI overtakes?
Looking at his Steam profile, it seems he hasnāt played anything since the 14th.
Hopefully nothing happened to him, maybe PC died or something.
I wouldnāt feel well knowing that we kicked a very involved player just because we havenāt heard back from him in 5 days.

- He has been very involved and interested for this game to progress.
- He insisted for me not to leave this game back in April.
Letās hope he is ok and letās just pause this game until we hear something from him.
- We donāt have any deadline, so no need to hurry.
This game was destined to take a long time anyway.

Iām fine with that. I mainly asked what I should do because as āhostā I feel responsible for the game continuing at some point.
But as I wrote: He has been a fast and reliable player since the start of this game.
So letās hope, that he will return soon from the ābreakā (whatever it is), heās taking actually.
Another idea: I put the turn timer on, if itās Chillers turn (and put it off after).
So AI would play some turns for him, until heās back, without kicking him.
And after heās back (hopefully soon), he can play on.
ā¦ that would be as in every other game that has a turn timer, not more.
Think that should be acceptable for him.
