Not only vacations, but real-world events, some unexpected, are common in PYDT games. These are usually acceptable and accepted as long as you announce them.

Didnāt have anywhere else to go really.I assumed you had room to expand to your east. As you know, I cannot expand much to my west (1 city) due to the map.
I was wondering, how do you change a hotseat game to an online game? Iām playing a game with my friends and we want to continue the game online but doesnāt work, I canāt find it on the load game so I copied to the Multi folder but no one could move after loading the game.
PYTD says we can switch between game modes thatās why there is an option to adjust the turn number of a game.
Any ideas?
Iāve got covid. Turns will be slow.

This is a little insulting to the other players in the game. Find a replacement or try to win!
No insult intended. Iām pretty sick right now, and no one is going to sub a hopeless position.
I do hope you will be feeling better soon, I canāt speak for others but I am happy to wait until then to continue the game with all players trying their best. Giving up your capital to another player for very little cost to them would not be good for the balance of the game.
Um well you either surrender or keep going, if this was reality, you canāt surrender as it would mean death.
There are other ways to win, tactics and strategies.
Now if you think that even a master in Civ 6 wouldnāt be able to get out of your situation and play a decent game, then I understand.
Iām not going to try to balance the game, may the best win.
If you want, I can make another game Iām thinking of creating other games cause I only have 2 at the moment.

On the situation: what can I say, disappointing but these things happen as we all know. I would call it a gameā¦
Our spawn is truly bad. There is only 3 fresh water settles on our very small island. Even with my settle blocking any expansions for him, I still only have room for 3 other cities in not-ideal locations just to maximize the # cities I can fit in.
Sorry your feeling rough 
I guess you could just surrender and create an AI. I know theyāre easy to beat in battle but itās still got to be done. Iām ok with that.

Okay so this is my first time playing a PYDT game, how do games normally end in your experience?
And who is your prediction for this gameās winner?
Usually, itās between science, culture, and diplo. Culture and diplo tend to go to victory screen, but with culture you have to monitor it manually and report the screenshot showing you went over the required tourist amount. Often if a player is way ahead on science and military others will concede before a science or domination victory.
