Mali has recieved pretty substantial changes in BBG version 5.3 (released today) so if any comptability issues arise we will need to revert to 5.2.
@Markelix , this is pretty much up to you (but if anyone notices an error, let us know). Make sure your mines/city center give the proper yields and that you can buy desert tiles at half price. (See patchnotes on: BBG Patch Notes v5.3.0 )
Ahem. So, I lost my capital and realistically have no way to come back - though I will try. That’s right, this early on. I underestimated the defense penalty from being settled on floodplains and I miscalculated the damage my city would take the next turn where a salvatory unit would’ve been completed.
I’m saying that now so that you may:
- Shame me publicly
- Consider your attitude towards mighty, soon-to-be-snowballing Mongolia (who pretty much acquired the equivalent of a free Settler on a strong capital spot, at the cost of -5 diplomatic fervor)
- Speak up if you think this comedic turn of event is worth a restart or whatnot (I won’t force your hand though - if I’m out I might just create another, similar game)
Wow, that was indeed a fast brawl game! I feel bad for you, as this was shaping up to be a nice and quick match. I say we continue on, though.
In summary of the game:
- I don’t think losing is “shame”, it’s part of it! LOL
- Tokugawa is very good for farming and GK for war, I think you should have created the second city in the opposite direction to save time.
- You spent your gold with scout and disappeared with him, the warrior was escorting the settler away, and the capital was defenseless. Even creating this “salvatory” unit, in one more shift a galley would arrive to help me.
Regarding restarting the game, there are 8 people who must vote and I prefer it to continue. I always defend that the game should go to its limit.

I just realized I’m playing as Hojo in this game. Worry not, Tokugawa, for I shall cleanse the land of these Mongolian barbarian hordes in the name of the Land of the Rising Sun!

Sorry for waiting for my last turn! Was/am ill and wasn’t able to make any turns for about 38 hours
(… o.k., i got 2 or 3 in that time, but not all necessary.).
Hope, AI didn’t screw up on that skipped turn.
