I figure I’ll leave the game open for another week to see if we can get a few more players, but if you guys would like I can start it now with 9 civs instead of 12, let me know what you think!

I’m happy to wait.

Looks like we’ve got a full game! Everyone happy with their civ choices? Any preferences for game settings etc.?

Good for me

I’d like to try Brazil

currently we’re planning to do a non-True-start-location (TSL) game, so no particular geographic start would be assured. However, if you would prefer I’m game to switch to a TSL game, as long as everyone picks their civ (so we can make sure there’s no one starting too close to each other). What does everyone else think?

I don’t mind either way.

i vote for no TSL

I have no preference for TSL or non TSL. I also don’t mind what Civ I am.

I would like TSL but I’m fine either way. I don’t know what you think about game speed, maybe quick?

I’d prefer non TSL but fine either way.

A question, if we do non-TSL do you get the terrain bias according your civ no matter where you start? It seems to me that in earth maps most of the terrain is fixated, so a random civ in random start is mostly a game of luck. Just saying. Anyway, I’ll accept what the majority wants

to my knowledge, the game would still use the terrain bias for each civ in selecting their start location. But yes, in a non-TSL game start location will be luck of the draw.

I was going to set it at online speed (which is quicker than quick, ironically), especially given the size of the map. Would you prefer online speed or quick?

Yeah I’m pretty sure there’s a terrain bias in non-TSL. My issue with TSL is that everyone knows the map layout right from the start which removes the fun element of exploration but that’s ok.
I’d prefer a slower game speed but again, happy with anything.
