This seems like it would solve our problems. @mrosack do we need to open up a ticket for that three-way swap (ie @slane goes to vietnam, and @andrewsmart48 goes back to his own korea) or is there a way the players can do it themselves?

Guess the first step would be for @slane to mark the game as looking for a replacement, @andrewsmart48 can then hop back in, and we can swap @slane into vietnam afterwards

What is it that’s making my walls unable to shoot barbarians?

Presumable because they’re Ancient Walls that provide no strike or they’re Mediaeval and Barbarians are more than 1 tile away. Only Renaissance Walls have the standard 2 range strike as in standard (unmodified) rules.

Thanks, I’m not so familiar with all the various changes that these mods do.

So let me get this straight:

Ancient Walls - can’t shoot
Medieval Walls - range 1
Renaissance Walls - range 2

But all still provide defensive bonus though?

Your renaissance conquistador push was really well timed, I got really scared seeing your 80str units destroying the absolute ever living hell of my 55str frontline. I think your main mistake was that you pushed too far and in too many directions at the same time. Had you taken only the 3 mediterranean cities of Athens, Cairo and Benghazi, and then rooted out my navy, there would have been very little I could have done to retake them. You pushing deeper into my territory gave me the logistics advantage of bringing more units faster.

Guess it also helped that I paid the aztec and Norway to join the war on my side!

You’re right, Good game @Ceryn and everyone else. Sorry I didn’t stick this one out all the way to the end. It does look like I bit off more than I could chew there. Persia really stepped up unit production in response to that conquistador rush, and the Spanish economy just couldn’t match it.

@Ramiro I just checked the rules of the game and it appears you’ve been engaging in illegal activities here… I see in your city list both Singapore and Auckland, and you’ve now captured Johannesburg as well. The rules do say “only one CS capture” however. I do not know how long ago the capture of the other 2 happened, so it might be too late to act for those, but we should at the very least roll back the last turn for Johannesburg. It’s getting late in the game so these mistakes happen, I don’t think you did all this knowingly… but yeah.

So either Johannesburg must be razed or Aztecs cannot conquer it. Guess we’ll have to revert. I’m happy with that but guess Singapore and Auckland must remain under Aztec control.
