Ya, I was kidding about the GDRs. It’s the first time I have had them used against me. Plus somebody having GDRs before me wasn’t part of my plan. I thought I was far ahead in tech but surprised to see I wasn’t.
Very odd about the fighters. Not sure what is going on there.
Next time you get a governor, see if you can upgrade your vampires instead of one of your other governors.
Sorry, more attempt at humor. I was giving you tips that I hope you don’t use against me
I wish I was in a position to use them against you
I have spare governors now (never been attentive or on top of their promotions beyond the first few).
I have clicked all over the vampire window, but nothing to click.
iirc,
the first vampire has promotion ‘taste’ as its selection. I have the vampire, but taste is and was nowhere to be seen.
Ah well, maybe pay attention in the next one
Now all of a sudden my jets can attack cities, go figure.
‘Pay attention’ ? I’ll be 70 soon.
I was kidding of course. There have been a number of weird changes mid game. Did you notice the promotion trees changed? Not sure if this one or another. I think some capabilities changed too but I would have had to pay attention to be sure.
It feels that this might be over as a contest, but there are a lot more moves to make.
From my perspective, there is no need for you to play on if just for the sake of it.
(I will continue anyway, as I have never previously developed a civ near to this extent.)
GG Ozy. Well played. I had no idea you were caught up with me in tech. If I had known that I would have left Dan alone and gone after you. I was very surprised when I saw your first GDR show up. I will surrender.
Memory is hazy, but I think you rapidly left me behind on tech, and I had a furious race to catch up by patching the campuses of cities I conquered.
This was my first time with a timely GDR, as opposed to previous token late lame consolations. I first couldn’t figure out why I kept attacking units/cities directly when I was intending to range hit them. Also, having never had a number of them, I was insufficiently aware of their relationship to uranium, but fortunately spotted it one turn before the stocks would have run out and a number disappear on me. Comic…
Yes, GG.
btw. Absolutely love the Mbanza. Never grew this quickly before.
