I’m on linux and have same problem, I’m unable to load the game as they haven’t patched the game for us yet :confused:

MagicPlunger seems to have abondened PYDT. Who is the creator of this game?

I think harre has likely inherited the role as host. The original host I think left long ago. Agreed that MagicPlunger doesn’t seem to be active anymore, as I have 5 games on pause waiting for MagicPlunger to play. Are you able to boot MagicPlunger harre?

I’m not sure if the owner/host role gets inherited automatically when the original host leaves. Would be interesting to know, though.

harre => if you are unable to kick MagicPlunger (because you didn’t inherit the host role), it’s possible to submit a support request to give someone that role…

I couldn’t find any means to kick MagicPlunger so I guess someone needs to apply for host.

Rather than replacing MagicPlunger with an AI, it’s probably better for balance to get a substitute.
@Valamas has replaced him in one of our other games, and is willing to do the same here.

However, since this game currently has no defined rules, he has asked if everybody is willing to agree to the following PYDT ‘Friendly Game’ rule:

  • Great people outside of your territory must be escorted by, at least a scout.

The reasoning here is that, because GP cannot be killed, it’s kind of an exploit to use them to scout enemy terrain. I’m fine with this rule, and I think @harre and @petrojbl1 are as well (since they agreed in the other game).

So, @Mad_SMAKs and @cjcjameson: are you both good with this as well?
