Phils Bungle (81e57c71)

No big deal. We can redo without the dlc but you did pay for it, steam just needs to part with it.

I saw on the 2k page today this post…

We’re aware of an issue that prevented some Epic users who owned all Civ Vi content from receiving Leader Pass. This should now be fixed for most players.

If you are still affected, please submit a ticket to 2K Support by following the instructions here: https://support.2k.com/hc/articles/12007333615123

Maybe try that?

Thanks again.
I logged a ticket and some impressively rapid feedback says it should appear sometime tomorrow.

When you run it, is this simply a greater option for leader selection, or is this a later version of the game ?
So are you still running ‘Gathering Storm’ or ‘Leader Pass’ ?

It’s nothing new. It just shows new leaders available. Still running Gathering Storm like normal. In fact, there was nothing to identify that I got the new leaders until I logged in and saw they were available.

Not sure they add to a war game as they are supposed to be “negotiators” I did not look closely at their capabilities just had my wife draw names for them.

I’m just happy that I can finally build a religion as Kongo.

Now that I look at it, I think the new leaders can be good at war.

Abraham Lincoln gets Emancipation Proclamation. Building the Industrial Zone and the buildings inside grant a free unit that doesn’t require resources to create or maintain. 10 cities with IZ, workshops, and factories is 30 free units!

Nzinga Mbande gets Queen of Ndongo and Matamba. While not military specific, a 10% bonus to yields is nice.

Saladin (Sultan) gets The Victorious which is 100% flanking bonus. That’s pretty big.

Should check the tech required. It might change the era. Or turn tech back on.

Lincoln comes out good as does Nzinga but much of the other benefits (P51/Film studio - Nzinga gets lots of culture later) are late game. Saladin has a strong knight replacement.

There is no change following the allotted passage of time, a clear download cache, and an uninstall and reinstall. I have updated the 2k support ticket.
In your Additional Content, do you have an item titled ‘Leader Pass’ ? (I don’t)

The bottom two are new. Did you get the steam update yesterday?

I will be busy with travel the next few days. I can redo the game if this seems like it is not being resolved.

What was the magic to make it work?

What do we think on war? When meeting human civ, +25, +50.

It’s currently turn 197. I vote for the following:
-You can attack AI civs at anytime, but you MUST declare war on them no later than turn 250.
-You cannot declare war on another human until turn 250, at which time you MUST declare war on them.
-Any human or AI civ you meet after turn 250, you MUST declare war on them.

Some weird admin thing like I needed to create a 2K games account, then link it to my Steam Id, then it happened automatically ??
I was going to say…“Who knew?” but the trouble is these days, someone probably did and told me and I missed the significance.

Then again, 2K support themselves did not mention this until their second update…

Yea, I do not recall seeing anything like that but I was not digging into boards on it. Sounds like a 2k-steam issue.

DogBoy - I am good with the proposed timing. My thought on the AI was that it does not serve anything to declare on a civ nowhere near you. It might be more useful to muck around with a civ near another human. Send resources, extract gold… Maybe declare on all neighbors. The rest, when they become neighbors or you feel like attacking.

Thoughts? Our friend V seems to think this is exploiting AI - not something my conscience ever fretted about.

I’m good with not declaring war on AI civs that are far from you. As soon as your borders get close to theirs, you must declare war?

Sounds good. Let’s say after 250 any border not separated by another civ, CS or ocean is at war.

Just curious, did you set minimum distance between civs? I have barely scouted and I’m surrounded by city-states and other civs. Won’t bother going for Magnus for easy settlers, will have to go with units right away just to expand.

Pretty sure it was 20 or 25
