That is what happens when my opponent builds a city 4 hexes away from my city and then denounces me… it typically leads to war. It would have only been a matter of time before they declared war on me
Not much can be done against those Cossack units. I see why I’ve been reading Russia is an excellent civ for domination.
Yeah, no kidding right? This was my first game as Russia, and I am completely blown away by how strong they are. I had a religious victory lined up very early into the game, and just wanted to expedite the process by eliminating some cities, didn’t realize the Crossacks were that strong!
Ended up with a religious victory on my last turn: https://i.imgur.com/kc5X6rz.png Just had to smash down a Greek city to push it over that 50% requirement for the rest of the game 
France being a pretty bad AI allowed me to just passively build up the entire game. Shame that someone left so early on.
This was my first full civ 6 game played… i didn’t even know that you were close to religious victory or even where to check that. Congrats!
Exactly how I lost my first and second PYDT 
The ‘world rankings’ tab on the upper right will show progress, it’s a good habit to check there every so often, but religion is a really tedious one to actively know unless you’re watching for it. The main thing to keep in mind is that even if you aren’t going for a religious approach in the game, it’s still useful to grab one just to counter spread if someone gets pushy with it. If you are losing cities to their religion, you need to either convert back, or take up military arms with them. Seeing Germany w/o a religion pretty much sold me on that victory as soon as I was able to discover your mainland. The military was just a buffer / way to more quickly level the cities I needed to convert since France was being a PITA re-converting her own cities back.
