You missed only one turn. Hope the AI didn’t do any wild stuff on that one turn like starting the wrong religion.
Game settings changed to “game is paused while users are on vacation”.
Just asking to better understand. Fairly new to PYDT and vacation mode is new to me. If a player is on vacation for 5 days; does that mean the game is paused until the player returns and takes their turn?
Yes exactly. (And so same as on games without turn timer).
Turn timers are usefull (in my eyes)
- for some players, who are playing their turns on 6-12 hours with timer, but sometimes on 4, 5 or 6 days without
- for players, who “ghost” without telling anything (for a couple of days or forever).
But if one is on vacation and tells this with activating the vac-mode, there’s (in my eyes) no reason not to wait for her/him.

Changed all my games with timer (hope didn’t forget one). So if one sets the vacation mode, game will always wait.
Go on slowly. As space.cow8oy ghosted completly, i’ll look for a sub and revert untill his last turn, maybe even 1 round more.

Does anybody of the other Aussies (as you have played also cloud games with him) know anything about space.cow8oy? Why he deleted his PVDT-account?
Yeah, I was surprised about it since he was the one that introduced me to PYDT. He said he was too busy so dropped them rather than making everyone wait.
To do that is basically o.k. for gthe others. There was a couple of skipped turn from him on different games, I’m playing with him.
But much better way is to tell this on that games (takes less time than a turn), so the hosts know in advance, that they have to look for a sub. Now we have maybe revert about 2 rounds…

Still found nobody to sub in - what now? Playing on with AI?
Seems like the only option.
Not sure what is going on with this game. A few turns came across Spain’s settler wondering alone, declared war and captured it. Next time I logged in my scout was elsewhere and Spain’s settler was escorted.
I was like OK never mind let’s move one, maybe there was a reload that I missed.
Now I log in and there is a Spain unit appeared out of nowhere that attacked my scout and there is not even a declaration of war.
Crazy stuff…

I don’t know but you captured my Settler. Yes you declared war to me. So ok I send all units on hunting… because settler. And then I see your scout on other tile then settler so I captured the settler back. And yes I attacked your units near my cities, because we are in war. But it is some bug? Or your turns was played by AI? I don’t want war. So we can live in peace.

another player left the game. since we already have so many ai players in this game, i want to ask, if we should look for a sub or two. i made a list of almost all players so we can discuss if some are attractive enough to get subed. i have not met the ai player seondeok yet, so i have no information about her. in the list the first six civs have a human player, the civs after that are ai. the numbers mean first column science points then number of cities and last number of technologies.
