If I have some BBG games and some non BBG games, Will I have to constantly toggle the mod on and off for my PYDT games? That is my biggest concern. The inconvenience with my other games.

If you have BBG enabled when you create the game, the game will be using BBG. So as to not inconvenience you, don’t change anything and the game will be fine. I’ll change my civ, no biggie.

no, you don’t need to toggle it on and off for Hotseat games. You simply disable them all and game will automatically pick the correct one. This is how my mods look like:
