Smack talk goes here for Golden War! Game URL: https://playyourdamnturn.com/game/dce8e831-a9c0-4bae-8756-0f47e024d7b1
Hi Geoff, can anyone join? Is there a discord channel? By Aleks do you mean Alexander? If Civs aren’t random, how do the players choose their civs?
@OtherRealisms this is a closed game with 4 friends. Aleks is one of the players.
Game has started. I edited the turn order to see if it goes faster, now we are playing with the sun.
Map is pangaea. The AI are set to King. Mods are starting scout and DB’s gold mod. The only thing I selected for DB’s gold mod is:
-learn from other civs.
-all cities like sugar.
-workers can build roads.
-battle notifications.
-XP from observation.
Good luck everybody!
I needed this mod in case anyone else does as well:
The whole thing with mods confuses me. When I first made the game it didn’t work because one (or more) mod was incompatible. I went through my mod list and deleted a bunch. For example, I had 4 BBS mods and deleted 3 older versions. Didn’t realize I left one of them on. At least we should all have “balanced starts”
I guess I was last so I did not need to link it. The mod situation is a bit nuts. Better to start clean.
GG game. I am done. I will let you guys continue rather than do one-click turns until final death.
I think Ozy is done soon. I will be shortly after that.
Yes, in “military” games, Alexander the Great is a cheater! Not only does he get science points for each killed unit, he also does not need to worry about the loyalty of the captured cities. And you don’t have to worry about “insights” and “accelerations”, during an active war - too many cities are being captured … I think such civilizations in “war” games should be banned.
Now our game has reached a stage where it can already be finished. Although Alexander has not yet had a single skirmish with America, I think the outcome of their imminent collision is beyond doubt. I propose to end this Game, due to the lack of intrigue…
GG again.
This game was weird, and really not much fun. Felt like I was doing good for the first 80 turns or so, and then the game just stalled. Not sure what happened. I surrendered.
