Trying to start this, but someone always gets tundra.

Thanks for caring. One of the settings related to the characteristics of the map can be set to reduce the amount of tundra and snow in the world. You might want to try it.
I didn’t know there was a way to see if somebody got tundra.
In a couple of the last few games I have joined, the originators indicated they cycled through the first move for all players to check everyone had an ok start (or that is how i interpreted their comment). So I thought here i would follow suit.

Yeah, it’s basically that: create game, save, cycle through first move for all players and if everything is OK, load game, make your turn and upload it to PYDT.
Ahh, sounds like a good idea. That way somebody doesn’t get a bad start and quit, or get a bad start with low chance of winning.
Having a look round, it seems that the setting that would explicitly reduce tundra would also increase desert. I’ll see what happens…
Damn, I didn’t remember that part, ha ha. I don’t know what’s worse: tundra or desert…
Hell, that was painful.
I found a setting labelled ‘Legendary’ for starts, but even that did not work for a few iterations.
