Game mode - Always War

Always War Mode

  • Must declare war on turn you meet.

  • Play true turns. Don’t reload for the purpose of tile or battle scouting. Any replay of turns should have the same outcome.

  • All player communication is public. No private pins. No secret agreements.

Trees Hide Units

Better Warfare - unit combat / costs and resource requirements are balanced. Promotion tree updated.

Siege Units: No Extra Movement

  • Siege units don’t get movement bonuses from things like Great Generals or Logistics, because when they do, they can automatically move & shoot. (They’re supposed to have the Expert Crew promotion to be able to do that.)
  • The Expert Crew promotion provides +1 movement in addition to the moving and shooting ability

All Men Are Mortal - When Great People die, they die. (Same applies to archeologists and naturalists.)

All Cities Like Sugar - Luxury resources provide amenities to all your cities, not just 4.

Remove Foreign Info

No City Trades - helps hide cities from other players

Remove Plunder Policies - Remove the plundering and pillaging government policies, because they allow massive yields for exploiting a weaker player.
