Sorry, I thought you said go back 2 turns.
I did go back 2 turns. I reverted back 2 turns and have played my same turns 3 times now.
Sorry
Hmm … I can make this move. Before that there was a vote in Congress … Question: should I make this move, or once again “revert”?
push on
Even allowing for my cognitive decline, I think I have now played the same turn several times, and am terminally confused.
Perhaps we should revert even further, or abandon hope and start again.
Push on. Let’s see if we can get past the glitch.
I took another step back.
Although I have already made two moves without problems, they certainly await us in the future. I make this prediction based on the fact that not everything is going as it should be … For example, now Japan allegedly has a Golden Age effect, which allows you to buy peaceful units for faith, but I can only use this in a few cities of the empire. In most cities (even the capital!) This option is not available. The reason for this selectivity is beyond my understanding …
We have the same problem in another game I’m in. We are on turn 190 and the game crashes every time I load it. The other player said he wasn’t able to faith buy buildings even though he is Suzerian over the city-state that allows it. Very frustrating. Hope this game doesn’t crash also.
GG all. Sorry partner, didn’t hold up my end.
No worries Dan. I think I will follow you shortly but will fight as long as I can.
It seems to me that it’s time to end this game - lonely Persia is defenseless against the Spanish-Japanese alliance …
I’m good with that. It was a fun game. Very tough capturing Canadian cities, kept revolting. I captured the same city about 10 times before I could capture the other cities around it and relieve the pressure. Congrats to Japan-Spain alliance.
I will start another one in about 2 weeks. Very very busy at work until mid-September.
Looks like I sort of called it on May 29th.
Apart from a single modest contribution of gold, I experienced zero conflict with the enemy apart from loosing off a token and solitary crossbow salvo in the penultimate move.
Well played everyone, and especially Japan. Looking forward to that next one, thanks.
The same trick that helped America in the previous game - the use of city-state mercenaries helped to build up momentum in Japan. Turkey and the Arabs were conquered with their weapons - the Japanese themselves sent only garrisons that replaced mercenaries in the conquered cities … Also, financial assistance from Spain came very timely, which made it possible to make a quick upgrade of the Frigates and then the Battleships, which made it possible to get a clear advantage at sea. I really expected from Spain to study the Civil Service, which allows to conclude a Military Union (+5 to the strength of units), but it didn’t work out well either.
I think that something needs to be done with the use of city-state mercenaries - either prohibit their use, or play at weak levels where city-states do not have strong armies. Thank you all for playing!
