This game is borked for me. There is a bug preventing faith purchases with monumentality. The fix here https://www.reddit.com/r/civ/comments/hx47fk/a_temporary_fix_for_the_faith_purchasing_bug/ doesn’t work because it won’t load games from newer versions of civ 6.
apparently it starts working in new cities? not sure how much help that is. Its pretty shit a bug is breaking all these ongoing games

MagicPlunger has been inactive for 2 months now (also in other games), so I kicked him and selected a substitute.

Hi dand4444, I was kicking MagicPlunger because of 2 months inactivity, and your name showed up as a suggested substitute. Of course, if you’re not interested in joining, we can look for another substitute (or have the AI take over)…
Ok, a bit surprised. Of course, you could have said I agreed to a while ago but only got it changed now. I would have believed it. Someone pinned it out nicely. Still not sure what is going on.

I don’t really have experience kicking players, so it was the first time I noticed the option to substitute a player. Just did some further checking, and your name probably popped up because of a setting in ‘Your Profile’. There’s a tab called ‘Substitution Availability’, with the following explanation: “Players that have played more than 500 turns on the site can register themselves to be available to substitute for players that are surrendering or getting kicked from games. Please select the games you’d like to substitute for below.”
So that’s probably what happened. Note to self: if I ever have to kick someone again, make sure to send the substitute a private message first

Definitely a good game! You and @Khiliani put up a really good fight. I was worried for a while when you ganged up on me with superior navy and air force. Nukes were the only way to counter
