The only three rules we have are:

No reloads (this is standard in every game I assume).
Must declare war on all major civs the turn you meet them, and never go to peace.
No un-killable scouts outside your borders that are unescorted.

The mod may not be in your profile, but if you loaded a configuration to set the game up, unfortunately, it is still there. Need a fresh game (fresh config) setup or transfer the config file to the single player folder, which allows you (i think) to remove it there, then save, and then back to the multiplayer folder.

Ok, here goes round 3! Starting a new game. Same password. I went in and manually unselected The More Maritime Seaside Sectors mod.

Can’t you simply deactivate (disable) the dlc in your Main Menu - Additional Content list before you start the game ?
Am I missing something ?
