[CLOSED] Linux Mac Compatibility

Games that are started on a linux box can be opened subsequently on a Mac without issue. When the saved file is passed from the Mac back to Linux the saved file does not open. The game hangs at the load screen. When the load button is pressed it changes from blue to black and then nothing happens. Please let me know if you need any other information. Thanks.

Can you validate that this is a PYDT issue, and not just a general hotseat issue? I’m assuming that if you pass the file from Linux to Mac without using PYDT it won’t work, either, and if so there’s nothing I can really do about it. :frowning:

Are the patch levels the same for the Linux and Mac clients? This problem happens often between Mac and Windows clients - if the patch level isn’t the same, the lower patch level can’t read the new patch save files.

Also, are people out there using Linux? Should I look into making a Linux build of the client?
