After downloading the latest client on windows today, I am unable to download any turns. The client becomes unresponsive after hitting the play your damn turn button.

I uninstalled the old version, installed the beta version, and I still get the same issue unfortunately.

Still no luck for me. I click on the play your damn turn button and then I see nothing. It must be a local thing with my computer or setup. I’m on windows 11. I noticed that this started happening after I bought Civ VII, which has a very similar save folder. I dunno if that would make a difference. There is nothing to show in the console either. Here is a screenshot:
I should mention that I am able to use the client by downloading version 2.1.8. The problem is it auto-updates to 2.1.9 eventually.
If I change the save directory to anything outside of my C:\users<user>\documents folder, the save download works.
I made a workaround on my PC to get it to work, so don’t spend any more time on this unless you are really bored. I’ll be fine.
