A friendly suggestion - put the game speed on āonlineā rather than āquickā for a faster game. This helps for 8-player games.
We had a vote on game speed in an earlier incarnation of this game where āQuickā was selected. I prefer slower speeds but happy to try āOnlineā in this one.
open to more discussion on the speed issue ā I generally prefer fast, but not the fastest for these types of games personally. Iāll go with the eventual consensus.
I prefer online, but Iāll play with any speed the host choses.

added another couple of spots and switched to large map due to the high interest
Iād like everyoneās opinions on what speed we run at (online or quick, online is faster) and the civ selection ā all random, players choose from the base civ list or we ban some civs/conduct a draft of some kind. Let everyone know so we can reach a consensus!

i liked civilizationdrafter, but maybe more than 3 leaders, could it be like 6 for each player to choose from?
p.s. iāve bought all dlc now, so up to others how big leader pool we talking about

civ choice - draft, 6 choices (first preference) or 3 choices (2nd preference)

With 10 players turns can be slow so for that reason Iād choose Online.
And a draft to choose from.

Iām ok with all speed games. I will go for a random leader so I donāt care if itās from a draft or no

I prefer 8 person games to 10. But the host has the final decision.

prefer quick speed, fine with online. definitely prefer a draft for leaders, 3 or 6 is ok

thanks all for your opinions so far! I think at this point itās safe to say that online speed is the way to go, and thereās enough support for a draft that I think thatās also the right call. Now Iām taking requests for civs to ban from the draft
I suggest ban MÄori. When the game starts, their settler floats around and can settle right next to you, unlike other civs where the spawns are spaced out.

switched back to 8 players, with the recent departure ā¦ Iāll wait a day to draft to give time for any more ban requests to come in
