I need help, the game won’t start. I get this error message, Any suggestions?
When entering the player names, do I have to put a slash after the name like this:
I actually dont know if you have to put the name of the player inside Civ. I’ve just left it as the default and I thought PYTD took care of that if the players are in the right order and I havent had any problems. I dont know if I’ve been using it wrong all this time tho that might also be possible but maybe try leaving the names empty?
Do I have to enter all the civs that are not random? If I don’t enter at least the host civ, I get a random civ when I start the game.
I believe you should enter the civs into the game as you did in the first picture but not write in the names of the players and instead leave the default “player 1”, “player 2” etc.
Did you select the civs in the same order as in pydt?
I can start it if you find a way for me to do it. I think you might be the only one who can start the game if you’re the one who created the PYTD game. I guess it would be possible if I created the save file, played your first turn and sent it to you to put into PYTD but Im not sure.
If it’s okay with you, you can start the game as host and I will join.
Can we get all the other players to join again if I host?
Is this a new game or a continuation of an online game or something? All you should have to do is enter in the correct civs that were selected by the players as shown in the window that pops up when you click start game with the instructions. That’s why you’re getting incorrect civ type errors. You don’t need to enter people’s names.
So, this is solved or a new game will be created?
I started the game now, and my first turn was played, the city was built, the production chosen and the warrior moved.
Thats weird. Did Hamishamus accidentally play your turn too?
