Quick tip I just discovered myself if anyone else doesn’t know. If you want to skip the opening movie then Browse to your local files for the game (Right click and select “Properties”, then “Installed Files”, then click “Browse…”.
Once in the Civ 5 folder, search for all files ending in “.wmv”, rename them to “.bak” files, and you can skip the couple seconds it takes to skip the intro movie every time you boot up the game.
Or check Skip Intro Video in the Interface Options 
Haha I already had that checked, but the changes I mention above will cause it to also skip all the production logos and load straight to the main menu pretty much.
