I can’t see how a game where one person is in control of two civs can be “correct” - however “correctly” you play it you’re bound to be swayed by the extra info you’ll get and I’d be extra wary of any diplomatic relations with either of them knowing you could simply bring in a perfectly co-ordinated ally.
