I (host) mark the player for subtitution (thanks for reminding me) which pauses the game when it rolls over to that slot, then the new player checks open games → subtitution requested.
Edit: Looks like it doesn’t actually get paused, oops

Is there a way to send an invite to that person who wants to take the spot? It’s the same person who was going to join at the start but ran out of patience getting it working.
I mean its a public game so you should be able to send the link to them

I’m resigning. Sorry but I can’t create cities with settlers. The option to found city doesn’t appear. I’ve tried different tile types - even the AI recommended ones. My apologies but it is just not worth continuing.
Did you take the ‘isolationist’ wild card that gives more money on trade routes but bans founding new cities?

Wait Karhald, I’ll be the one people point and laugh at here. My aim is to win the leader board for turn timer so I don’t feel like a loser when I get flattened by everyone else. Although dctyler has taken 3rd place and I’m down in 4th now! What’s going on!
