Enormity (1add8f50)

It takes 3-4 hits from a healthy cart to take a city. (2 turns from 2 carts for your first.)
Plus I can’t remember if a city is wiped if taken with only single pop.

Looks like the 20-21 turn prophecy is not going to happen. I emailed a proposal.

Dan slowed you down enough for me to get Agoge and a few archers. With 3 cities pumping archers in 3 turns each, you won’t take me easily. Now I have maintenance problems but at least I’m still alive.

OK. I was kind of making the offer while assuming we would discuss my emailed proposal before continuing. Your response above doesn’t really address the points I wanted to discuss as the basis for peace. Perhaps you could respond to the email before I continue?

Sorry, didn’t see the e-mail until now. Must have been a delay coming through.

I agree to a long term peace, perhaps until turn 200 at the earliest?

How about 300 ? or 250 ?

I’m good with peace until turn 300. Looks like we will settle in for the long haul.

Funny, just got a smack talk notice from PYDT. It shows in my game list as well. Funny.

Well, glad I could be a speed bump

I survived but don’t think it will matter. I spent everything on making archers so now I have 3 cities. Ozy has 8. I have 3 AI and barbarians killing my units. If I don’t have a miracle happen soon it will just be a slow death.

Back off my game list and no notification. Strange. Back on before I finished this - It says America is still in the game?

Have a good fight against the Sumerian hordes.

Then again, if you can survive the initial attacks, and more cities defect to you, you are right next to a clump of developed cities to absorb. I am still distant from any civs to conquer. But this start is better than normal for me.
Amusingly, in the other one, I have absolutely perfect terrain for war carts with not a hill or mountain in sight, having chosen a different civ. But I am on an island with only a single civ and two cities.

One of the cities I captured keeps revolting, I finally quit capturing it after 5 times. But oddly enough one of the cities that is not mine revolted to barbs, then just revolted to me. I like that!

But as for our new game I have almost no food and no production. I predict granaries and water mills in my cities.

Only just realised we are rapidly approaching turn 300.
Shall we extend the truce say another 200 turns ?

We are on turn 114, far cry from turn 300.

Stupid me. I was confusing turn number with round number on the game stats tracker.

I thought the proximity of the other civs would help you to quick conquest and catching up, but I did not foresee the loyalty issue. Never having had a game as successful as this before I am going to play it through, but if you want to resign that’s ok, as it can’t be much fun.

I will resign. Even though you didn’t conquer me right away you killed my chances of winning. I made so many archers instead of anything else, then I lost almost all my archers in a few turns when the enemy got walls in all their cities on the same turn and killed my archers before I could retreat. I have low culture (for France!?!) so keep losing my cities.

GG, well played on your part.
