And we’re off! Hope I created the game file correctly.

Seems to have worked.

Also, these islands are so small.

I’m starting to come to the same conclusion about the islands. First time I haven’t used a continental or fractal map in Civ VI, though, so I like the novelty. At least worrying about starting near the coast isn’t an issue!

Assuming the Mac problem remains, my turn will be delayed until I come back from my vacation (with my non-Windows laptop :pensive: ).

After a long game Anime proves itself the most powerful force in existence and conquers the world:

Good game, everyone. If I had to boil my victory down to one thing, it’d be control of Yerevan. It was the only city-state I maintained suzerainty of by the end, but it was the only one I needed: Being able to spit out as many Proselytizer Apostles as I needed, plus some Translators as backup (though I should have made more of the former and fewer of the latter) let me convert cities with ease, because a single spread removes a ton of opposing influence along with spreading my religion there.

Active use of more Inquisitors could have stopped me, because Inquisitors are stupidly OP and kill any religious victory dead if it doesn’t happen in one great wave so there’s no chance to respond, but otherwise, Yerevan letting me always have the kinds of Apostles I wanted (i.e. the kind whose conversions take over cities in a turn or two) meant that my religious victory was basically unstoppable without stomping my apostles or winning in some other way first.

I’m still a bit surprised Rome lost though; that lead was enormous. Things like this are why I hate not founding a religion, even if I’m not planning on winning that way personally.
